Schooley Caldwell designed a full renovation to Shively Hall, a 160-bed residence and dining hall. This project involved renovations to existing rooms, ADA accessibility upgrades, and the creation of living/learning centers within the residence hall.
Extensive renovations to the dining hall created a marketplace atmosphere with several different food stations, enabling OU to meet students’ desires for varied, fresher, and healthier food options. A grab-n-go station was also created to serve the needs of busy students. A new skylight brings natural light to the space, while new furnishings and fixtures make it welcoming and comfortable.
Shively’s renovations have resulted in an attractive and popular dining option for the East Green. Shively’s renovations were designed with sustainable principles in mind.
