Schooley Caldwell designed renovations to Delaware County’s historic courthouse, which was vacated when the new courthouse was completed in 2017. Delaware County’s master plan called for the Board of Commissioners, Human Resources, and Veterans Services offices to move into the vacant courthouse, and Schooley Caldwell designed the needed renovations.
The first phase of our work was to conduct a detailed physical assessment of the courthouse and complete a thorough programming effort to assist the county with determining the full scope and budget. From there, we developed design concepts based on the results of the programming and assessment. Once complete, our team developed the design and construction documents for the renovation, and we wrapped up construction in October of 2020.
