Eric joined Schooley Caldwell after he earned a Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University in 2023. He grew up between Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC and attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he graduated with a BA in Economics. After graduating from Emory, Eric moved to Philadelphia where he managed a bike shop for several years – his long history of cycling includes road racing, mountain biking, BMX, and gravel riding.

By the time he moved to Columbus, Eric had developed an interest in architecture, and he decided to apply to OSU.  While at Ohio State, he worked as a graduate teaching associate for construction and structures courses.

Eric hopes to build his technical design skills and is most interested in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. In fact, he’s currently working on the conversion of the Delaware County Bicentennial Barn into an event center.

In his free time, Eric enjoys riding bikes, playing video games, travelling, tending to his collection of houseplants, and spending time with his partner, Rita, and two cats.
